Our Second Newbuilding for the First Half of 2021, the FRANCOIS
Yet another vessel has been added to the ever-growing fleet of SWAN. Another gas carrier, the FRANCOIS was successfully delivered at Imabari, Japan on the 9th of June 2021. This marks another milestone in SWAN’s business relationship with the vessel’s owners Fujitekko and Murakami Hide. Both shipowners are happy customers of Swan (over a decade for Murakami Hide while over five years for Fujitekko).
Handling the delivery preparations for a new vessel is no small task, especially during a pandemic. With the strong support from the shipowners, SWAN was able to successfully overcame many of the unusual challenges faced prior to and during the delivery.
The 7,500 cbm gas carrier is set to trade around the Caribbean. She is under the careful command of one of Swan's finest Masters, Capt. Vicente Flores, Jr.
