Outreach program with Rotary Club: Strengthening Instructional Support and Learner Participation
As part of its commitment to community development and social responsibility, SWAN Shipping Corp. in collaboration with Rotary Club conducted an outreach program through the donation of sports and cleaning equipment intended for the students and school community of Magata-Manggahan Elementary School. Due to distance and accessibility challenges of the recipient school, the official turnover of donations was held at Alas-Asin Elementary School, where authorized representatives from Magata-Elementary School received the donated items on behalf of their institution.
The turnover activity was attended by representatives of SWAN Shipping Corp, Kristine Mauhay - HR Assistant and Capt. Joseph San Pedro - Designated Person Ashore together with Rotary Club Representative, Ms. Lanie Chua. The program commenced with a brief welcome message, followed by the acknowledgement of the donors and partners whose generosity made the acitvity possible. During the ceremony, sports equipment and cleaning materials were formally turned over to the beneficiaries. Community representatives expressed their gratitude to SWAN Shipping Corp. and the Rotary Club for their support and commitment to improving the welfare of the community. The donated items are expected to contribute to the promotion of sports activities, youth development and the maintenance of clean and healthy environment with the community.
The turnover activity was successfully completed, and all donated items were properly received by the designated beneficiaries. The transfer of the venue from Magata-Manggahan Elemtary School to Alas-Asin Elementary School proved beneficial in addressing distance and accessibility concerns, resulting in a more efficient and inclusive distribution process.
The turnover of sports equipment and cleaning materials at Alas-Asin was successfully conducted through the generosity of SWAN Shipping Corp. in collaboration with the Rotary Club. Despite the change of venue Magata-Manggahan Elementary School due to distance considerations, the activity achieved its objectives and provided meaningful support to the beneficiaries.
