June 3, 2021 marked a special day for SWAN Shipping Corporation, as the company successfully completed its ISO 9001 certification. This certificate serves to further affirm SWAN’s dedication to quality service to its customers.
The quality system developed during the certification process will guide the company to meet its set goals as well as improve overall operations by clearly defining every aspect of the company from the roles of each individual to the risks the company faces.
Along with the quality system, new processes were developed as well as further definition and hashing-out of each department’s roles were done to ensure the effectiveness of the company. The ISO 9001 certification is not the end of the line however, this only marks the beginning of the company’s journey into solidifying its promise of quality service for all its customers. Further audits will be held to ensure the company’s compliance, but with hard-working staff, top-management to guide them, and the quality management system, SWAN will be prepared to provide quality service that will continue to improve.
