Luis is a Master Mariner by profession. He started his all-gas carrier seafaring career in 1999 with Swan Shipping. In October 2011, he was promoted to Captain on one of the company's gas carriers, the CHAMPIONSHIP. In May of the following year, he joined Swan's shore team as a Marine Superintendent. Primarily, he provided support to Masters onboard in the preparation for third party inspections, including responding to vetting questionnaires, sailing visits onboard to conduct safety inspections and internal audits, and providing guidance on cargo operations and navigation safety issues, among others. Thereafter, he had sailed for a short time onboard two of the company's vessels, including taking over command of the JASMINE CORAL when she was delivered in January 2014 at Shitanoe Shipbuilding in Oita, Japan.
From July 2019 to February 2021, he held two positions at the same time - as Marine Manager and DPA. As the Marine Manager, he was tasked to oversee the company's Marine Safety & Fleet Personnel Department and the overall safety and vetting matters of the fleet. As a DPA, he has made huge contributions in the revision and the full implementation of the company's SMS.
In February 2021, he was tasked to oversee the day to day operation as the company's General Manager - a position concurrent with his role as DPA.
And in the first half of 2021, he had led Swan in achieving a milestone - the ISO 9001 certification by ABS Quality Evaluations, Inc. He is in-charge in the implementation of the company's Quality Management System (QMS) as the Quality Manager.
Beth is one of the first employess when Swan was established in 1995. She started as an Executive Assistant. Due to her dedication and exemplary work ethics, she was appointed to take charge of the Admin Department in 2004.
She is the go-to-person for any issues related to smooth office operations, including IT and communications systems and equipment. She has strong IT background and she specializes in the process flow of statutory documents and requirements for the office and the ships.
Due to her deep involvement in the preparation, and familiarity, of the SMS she was appointed as the Alternate DPA in 2012. She assists the DPA in the revision and implementation of the SMS.
In September 2013, Bel joined Swan - her first employment after finishing studies - as an Accounting Clerk. She took up her current role as Head of the Accounting Depatment in 2017. She reports to the CFO and the President. To ensure customers financial reporting requirements, Bel promptly submits operating budget reports.
Manager - Marine Department / Company Safety Officer
Master Mariner by profession. He joined the fleet in 2016 as a Chief Officer. After finishing his first shipboard assignment, he joined the shore-based team as an Assistant to the Marine Superintendent. In 2018, he got promoted to Master, then rejoined Swan office as Marine Superintendent.
He heads the department that handles safety matters, vetting and crewing.
A Chief Marine Engineer by profession. Had sailed on Swan vessels since he was a cadet in 2000 until getting the promotion in 2016. He joined the shore team in 2019 as a Technical Superintendent.
